⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐These guys have done a few bits of work for us now (a Tesla and a caravan) and it has been such top quality everytime! The work they have done is top notch, but what really makes it is the guys that run the business. Lovely, honest, approachable, affordable and skilled in what they do. We cannot recommend them enough!

If I could buy shares in Car Magic, I certainly would, not for the growth in my investment nor for the big dividends I might get, but just to support a really decent, fun business that delivers just what it says on the tin. I think this month is probably the fifth or sixth annoying bump that my wife occasionally and I, mainly, have had really excellently dealt with by the Hall/Beal combo. The final invoice always seems to come in on target with the original quote, the service is always prompt and enjoyably personable and this time, they also fitted me a perfectly serviceable battery, when my ancient one decided to drift off to battery heaven on their watch. The damage I’d done this time was not a cheap and easy fix and they must have realised the pain it was causing to my household budget, because, amazingly, there was no charge for the supply and fit of the replacement. Very big thanks, guys, for another great job! Five ⭐️ PS I hope I’m not building up expectations of free parts replacement in my last para, but that was a big blessing on this occasion!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I have just recently had my Lexus Ls 460’s rear bumper and trim replaced after a shunt. This is the second time I have used Car Magic for bodywork. The first time was for some tidying up of the bodywork of my Honda Civic Type R (EP3) in 2022. The quality of Stuart’s repairs and paintwork was outstanding – certainly helped me get top money when I sold it. The more recent work is again top notch and both Stuart and Martin are both exceptionally professional and flexible when working with you. Highly recommended.

My car was parked on a hill and rolled –with the brake on into the bumper of another vehicle—result the L wing of my VW Polo sprung out. Stuart took one look at the wing and with one bang with a well placed fist knocked the wing back into its clips. What a star, friendly and no charge. Great.

Had the dreaded lacquer peel on my chilli red 2006 Cooper S. Asked Stuart if he could sort it! Silly question, of course he could and it came back looking fantastic! Brought my 2007 Toyota Prius in for work this past month. Vehicle was involved in non-fault accident (hit by lorry while in its blindspot). The repair service was excellent, Martin was honest and the estimate was the lowest of five. Brought the vehicle in for repair and Stuart and his team did a magnificent job. Car looks more brilliant than ever! Worth the two hour trip to Chesham from the Midlands to get the work done by such a magnificant team of professionals at a very reasonable price! The best.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐When I arrived there, they were so friendly and helpful. They managed to fix my car up(which was in need of a new bumper, lights, bonnet fix etc.) in a matter of 2 days. They even cleaned the car inside and out and it looks like new. They are amazing and I would highly recommend.

Crunch! That sickening moment when you realise you’ve reversed into a post that somehow you weren’t alerted to! A few hours later, the call to Martin or Stuart and suddenly the problem seems less of a drama. I bought the car having sustained quite some damage to the rear left quarter, with some paintwork damage and scratches along the wheel arch and some dings on the driver’s side door. As I was pulling into the road to Car Magic, some idiot then decided to finish the job by smashing into my driver’s side mirror, scratching it up some, but thankfully the mirror was intact. Stuart originally told me it would take 5 days, but three days later, called me to inform me that the car was ready! When I picked it up, it was obvious that he’d just bought a new car and replaced mine with it…Well, that’s what it looked like. New. Oh, and cheap too! I cannot recommend Car Magic enough! I almost want to scratch it up again so that I can have him redo it… (Maybe not, actually. Love it too much now. Might have to get another car to do that.) Thank you Stuart and Car Magic!

I picked up my much loved but previously rather sad looking MX5 (Rosie) on Tuesday (22nd March) and could not believe her transformation. At 16 years old, I never thought I would see her in this glorious state again. Every panel had been damaged in some way and the paintwork on the retractable roof was in a bad state. Now it looks like I have a new car attracting many admiring looks. Oh that the same service and treatment was available for all of us and we would all look 16 years younger.

Stuart looked after me and made my Jaguar FPace look brand new again. Did a grand job, for the competitive price quoted, and in the exact timeframe quoted. Handed back the car in pristine condition. Highly recommend.

A Huge thank you to Stuart and Martin for the tremendous job they did on my VW Amarok. Their attention to detail was second to none, and the end result was more than I could ask for. They were not only very professional, but even went that extra mile by repairing and spraying my damaged mirror cover at no extra cost. Would definitely highly recommend.

Our family car was in such a sorry state when we left it with the Car Magic team. Its injuries included a hole in the boot, a near-crushed passenger door and more dents and dings than we could count. I delivered it to the Car Magic team in tears of frustration…and picked it up 5 days later in tears of joy – it’s utterly transformed! Martin, Stuart and the team painstakingly repaired or replaced every dent and scrape and gave us back a beautiful, safe car that I’m proud to drive. They were transparent about costs throughout and really went the extra mile. We’re very grateful and will recommend Car Magic without hesitation. ‘Magic’ is the word!

They couldn’t have done more for me to deal with the considerable damage done to my mini by an anonymous idiot whilst my car was parked, making it as stress free as possible. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐These guys are absolute legends. Ultra professional and superb comms and customer service. I took my lease car in to get a quote for some minor bumper damage. They were open and honest and although they gave me the quote (which was less than expected) they advised me that I’d be better off chancing it with the lease company and paying for any damage. Stuart in particular was brilliant.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Having only moved to Berkhamsted earlier this year I was searching blindly for a body repair business to fix my Audi after I was hit by a lorry on the M25. Having sought recommendations from a popular local Facebook page I received about 30 recommendations for Car Magic and having now used it I can see why they have 5 star reviews everywhere you look. Absolutely impeccable repair carried out – car looks brand new and with customer service to match. Martin and Stuart were both such lovely chaps, so professional and helpful and made the whole process so smooth and easy. Had my car back in less than a week! Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond on numerous occasions – checking out and correcting a tyre sensor issue for me and even volunteering themselves to witness the condition of my hire car (to save me getting scammed by the loan car company) To top it all off my car was returned having had a thorough wash inside and out which was the finishing touches to what was a really fantastic service. Can say with certainty I would not even waste time looking for another competitor as the service from Car Magic was absolutely outstanding. 20 years ago I presented my wife with a new BMW Z3. Although it has only 58k miles it had started to rust especially bad on the side rails between the wheels and on the driver door. Thanks to my lovely daughter, my new Toyota 2020 hybrid suddenly had several nasty dents and scratches to the passenger door and rear panel. An all round outstanding service! My car suffered an unsightly bumper scuff and impact damage to the rear wheel arch after an unfortunate prang while parked. Aside from looking unsightly, I feared that the damage would gradually lead to more paint peeling away from the damaged areas and dreaded rust forming! Martin conducted a thorough inspection of the affected areas, quoted a reasonable price and booked the car in at a mutually convenient time. Stuart worked his magic, making sure that the uncommon paint matched the existing colour perfectly and finished the job within two working days. Accidents do happen and in my personal experience have not even been my fault. My car was hit on Tesco’s car park by someone who didn’t report it leaving the bumper pressed inwards. Stuart at Car Magic managed to rectify it in minutes. A few weeks later I pulled the front bumper out of alignment and again he managed to rectify it. On both occasions, the quality of the workmanship was first class. My project porsche (25 years old) needed remedial body work repairs undertaking to complete the renovation started 18 months earlier. Due to the array of issues and a limited budget the car could only have a proportion of the repairs completed. Stuart stepped in; understood the constraint but equally recognised what re-spraying half the car was likely to lead to in terms of quality of overall finish and appearance. My impression is that Stuart would have been just as disappointed as I might have been when seeing the end result. Thanks to Stuart a deal was done and the whole car was treated to the remediation works required. Everything that the car needed that was in Stuart’s control to attend to, he did. Unfortunately I was involved in an non fault accident recently & rather than go through my insurers (to avoid losing my +20yrs no claims), I went via the 3rd party, thinking this would be straightforward as they had already admitted liability. This turned out to be a real minefield dealing with their accident claims company & let’s say them not be ‘open’ with my rights as the affected party. I then came across Martin at Car Magic who knew immediately the situation I was facing, Martin having experienced it through his clients & knowing what to do. Martin’s advice is fantastic & he is genuinely concerned you are treated correctly by the 3rd party insurers- how many companies do you contact who demonstrate a genuine concern for your situation, especially when it’s just an inquiry? So much that Martin recommended a full engineers report on my vehicle & also could recommend a company to contact (Evans Harding Engineers- another great company to deal with), who have supported Martin’s view such that the insurer has undervalued my vehicle should it be written off. Thanks to Martin I have increased my vehicle’s value by +£2.7k with this report and am armed ready to fight the insurers. I would strongly recommend talking to Martin about your vehicle repair situation given the level of service, courtesy & excellent knowledge/ advice he provides, which unfortunately you rarely experience today even with some the top car marques.

When the fuel flap on my Ford S-Max wouldn’t stay closed I googled it and started to panic about the cost and time it would take to fix. It was really bad timing as I was about to go on holiday so I called Car Magic hoping they could help. They quickly assessed the damage (broken hinge), ordered a new part and within 48 hours I was back collecting the car. I contacted Car Magic after having seen reviews on Facebook and then on this website. The whole process was seamless from start to finish; I uploaded photos via the website and then was contacted very quickly with an estimate. I was particularly impressed with the friendly and efficient service and the extra care taken. When I arrived to pick up my car, not only were the scratches all removed, but the car was spotless. Totally satisfied with Car Magic. Found them to be consummate professionals. I had investigate other places and felt Car Magic would give me the level of service I was looking for. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Had rust removed from a few panels and boot and bonnet resprayed to match the original BMW individual colour, and they did a fantastic job! They also included additional work for free including rust removal, dent removal and respraying of a number of other panels that were identified during the work as also requiring attention. Friendly service and also provided photos of the work in progress.

Delighted by the work carried out on our run around Fiesta that had picked up a couple of minor knocks. Now looks as good as new. Friendly, flexible and professional service from Stuart and Martin. And whilst I hope not to need their services again they will be my first choice if I do.

Having previously enjoyed – (if that’s the ‘mot juste’ for having to take your battered motorcar to a ‘body shop’ )- the services of Car Magic three or four years ago when my blue Subaru came back looking as good as new, new knocks to my newish Subaru needed attention.
The service is still first rate and it’s friendly, to boot. In fact this ‘Car Magic’ is a remarkable business tucked away as it is in the middle of nowhere yet catering for every vehicle body repair need from the exotic (my Subaru ?) to the mundane (a near neighbour’s almost insignificant small Peugeot) to a number of vintage vehicles from far and wide requiring very special expertise.
The high standards are achieved and maintained by a fine team of expert panel-beaters and spray painters managed by the two hands-on owners, Martin, the idiosyncratic originator ( he might be idiosyncratic but my goodness he really knows his stuff) and Stuart the down-to-earth attention-to-detail expert who really knows his stuff too.
And there is no pressure; they really do care and will not foist work upon you if you are uneasy about it. Whatever they do they do WELL, very well, and with good humour.

I’ve used Car Magic on more than one occasion. This time round, Stuart was kind enough to touch up some light scratches on the bodywork but as he had the right paint in the workshop already, he did this without charging. What a lovely gesture and again, what a pleasure it has been dealing with Car Magic. Always professional, helpful and welcoming.

I’ve now had three separate cars (BMW 3 series, Toyota Yaris and a Mini Cooper) repaired by the Car Magic team. In each case the cars had damage to bumpers or door panels. The service and pricing from Car Magic has been first class on each occasion. The quality of work very good and without fault. They are very straight forward and genuine people to deal with. I will use again and I’m very happy to recommend.

Following a car park scrape, we were advised to use Car Magic for the repair. Our Mini required a respray to the bonnet and front wing plus a new wheel arch moulding. A spot of rust. Set off to Car Magic for a quote; meet something nasty in Hog Lane; tyre ruined; no mobile coverage but help is at hand – Stuart. Wheel off, a lift to Berkhamsted and back for a new tyre, wheel back on and I’m away home. Magic indeed. I didn’t even get my hands dirty! Now to order the paint job.

The front bumper on my 2003 530i was out of alignment and the lacquer was peeling, also had rust blisters around the wheel arch, sill and boot lock. The rubbers around my headlights had also perished. Stuart took time to examine the bodywork identifying areas where he could polish out various small scratches etc while he had the car in for repair. I collected the car this afternoon and what a brilliant job Stuart has done, the colour match and finish is superb and bearing in mind the car is 15 years old it actually looks like new. The way Stuart has blended the paintwork proves that he takes great pride in his work and is a master craftsman. He is also a very friendly approachable honest guy who gives you great service at a reasonable price. Upon collecting my car in my wife’s 1999 Lexus IS200 I asked him to quote on some minor rust and scratches. He went around the car and said due to the age it was in his opinion not worth spending what it would cost. He did say however that he had some of that actual colour paint and he could use it to tidy up the bodywork if we wanted. When I asked how much he said that as it was a fairly quick job he would do it free of charge! This proves what a fair, honest guy he is and someone who puts the customer first before anything else. This is a 5 star company with 5 star personnel who you can trust 100% to do a first class job for both minor and major repairs. Car Magic are a very professional outfit who put the customer first and are a credit to themselves.

I had two no fault accidents in the space of 6 weeks and went straight to Car Magic. I didn’t even consider going anywhere else. Martin and his team are absolutely fantastic and always treat you as a person not a statistic. My first accident wrote the car off, but the second accident was repairable. Throughout the whole process, Martin kept me totally up to date with everything. Once the go ahead was given to repair my car, his team got straight on it and did such a good job that my car looks better now than it did when I bought it. There really is no better place to go for repairs, no matter how small. I will be going back for my service and MoT when they are due.

Delighted to have got my Audi A2 back today from Car Magic and what a great job they’ve done! I’ve had my A2 from new but it was needing a good overhaul. They examined the damage the following day at my home address and picked up and delivered the vehicle as soon as it had been professionally repaired, making the whole accident process as smooth and painless as possible. I found both Martin and Stuart, friendly, very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. Have since used them again on a specialist classic car with the same service and high quality results. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐After finding my car dented I wanted to get it fixed ASAP. After looking online I found Car Magic. I was impressed from the very start, getting a quote online using their photo service. Easy communication and they very quickly booked my car in. They even came and picked my car up and dropped it off free of charge! I got the car back looking “good as new” and the quality of the work has made any damage disappear completely. I am very impressed indeed. Three years after I wrote the above review I have a brand new car that had been scratched on the rear bumper few weeks ago on back right quarter. After my fantastic experience before with Car Magic, I contacted them and once again they maintain to be outstanding service end to end picking up and dropping off the car, the online quote system is amazing and I’m sure their prices have stayed the same even three years on. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I really cannot recommend these guys enough; I had quotes from 3 garages and was told that parts were on back order and would take anywhere between 1-3 weeks; 2 days later they phoned and said the parts had arrived and it was booked in. They said it would take 3 days, but they phoned early and said it was all ready to be collected.

To Car Magic once again, to repair a scrape and dent to my wife’s car caused by an uncompromising lorry forcing her into a line of parked cars. I told the insurer I wanted to use them not only because their quote was lower than the VW garage but because their work is always excellent. Having received permission CM took over , liaised with LV, repaired the car efficiently and promptly, and valeted it so it looked immaculate for our collection. All by magic!

When a body repair specialist does a great job for you once, that’s worth writing in about, but when they’ve done three excellent jobs on three different cars over a four month period, one of which is your mother-in-law’s, then this almost calls for a testimonial of essay length!
